| Personal Bio/ Summary | Am a FCA (UK) qualified accountant for the past 15+ years having got a BSc (Hons) degree in Economics and Planning at the University of Birmingham (UK). This qualification has enabled me to have so many professional experiences that make all the hard work all those years ago worth it. I have worked for small, medium and large businesses so I have a grasp on the benefits and weaknesses of each. Personally I have a passion for small/medium sized business as that is what keeps the economies of the world ticking over. This sized business enables me to love and get involved in all parts of business, from IT and HR through to Operations as well as the few days a month I allow myself to be in my comfort zone doing some accounting! I have been involved in many industries (in Australia and UK), from FMCG, Healthcare, Construction through to the landscaping business that I am involved in and very passionate about today. People place too much weight on previous industry experience as personally every time I have moved on to a different industry I have brought something to the table that people who have only been in that industry do not know. At the end of the day it is about people and processes. Within 12 months I then have as much knowledge of the industry as I am ever going to need. |

| Who I'm looking to connect with - my ideal referral partner | I am looking to refer to businesses that have connections with companies that require Landscaping, be it maintenance or construction, and Arboriculture (tree) services, that are completed to a high standard. We do not compete on price but look at making the customers life easier as we manage the process from start to finish and this enables us to give our customers a positive experience. | What Makes My Business Unique (My P.O.D.) | A lot of our customers love the fact that we provide the complete landscaping package. For instance you have a tree that is damaging a retaining wall. We will take the tree down (after getting council approval) with our Arboriculture team, then our Landscape Construction team will repair or replace the retaining wall and put turf in the place of the tree. Finally our Landscape maintenance team can visit the site once a week/fortnight/month to maintain the new landscape. Our business is different to our customers as we do not employ salesmen. We have one BDM plus the CEO/Owner who are both qualified Horticulturalists. All our operation managers are qualified in their respective fields and they are the ones selling and delivering the work for clients. We do not compete on price. We believe our price is fair given the high level of service we provide. We like to make the lives easier for the staff at the customer as they quite often don’t get paid any extra for issues with contractors so we make sure we give them no issues. We belief in Corporate Social Responsibility – we do not just write it on our website! We have employed many apprentices and an Accounts Receivable Clerk, who are living in Social Housing and are an advocate for Wentworth Housings Neighbourhood jobs programme. On top of that we have a cleaner through Nova Employment and a landscaper through NRLs school to work programme. |
