Personal Bio/ Summary

After 20 years of building a career in Financial Services in the UK, where I became a Chartered Financial Planner, I finally decided to take the plunge after many years of deliberating and move my young family to Australia.

Was this a scary move? Very much so!!!

I love being a Financial Planner and there is no other career I would rather do (except maybe being a professional footballer or lead guitarist in an international rock band).  Leaving behind the comfort of the UK, as well as the knowledge and understanding of the UK financial services market I have built up over those years, was a monumental leap of faith.

However, we are now settled on the Central Coast where I now help British expats and Australian expats with their financial needs when moving between the UK and Australia.

Added to this, I am able to provide insight to others on the transition of moving half way around the world having experienced the highs and lows of making the move myself.

My personal mantra is to ‘try to leave the world in a slighter better place than I found it’.  My aim is to do this by helping more people work towards financial freedom and a life they want to live.Who wouldn’t want that?

I am different to other International Financial Planners in that I am a dual-qualified adviser that has actually worked in the UK and Australia.  I understand UK pensions better than competitors because I have actually worked on the ground in the UK and dealt with pensions as a domestic financial planner.

I strongly believe each client is an individual and has individual needs and desires.  Therefore, I understand that moving pensions and assets between borders is not the right thing to do for every client.

My Passions

I am passionate about helping clients achieve financial freedom and living a happy and fulfilling retirement.  Financial planning can often be confusing and I get great pleasure in making the complex more simple.
My Interests

I am love football (which is a prerequisite of being English) and music.  My English team is Manchester United and my Australian team is the Central Coast Mariners.

In my spare time I love mountain running and triathlons.

As I get older, I have an increasing interest in history.  I only wish I had this interest whilst I was at school.
