Mark has been employed in technology support and leadership roles for the whole of his working life. Whilst employed at Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) in Canberra, Mark worked with the team that built the original internetwork of computers in Australia, which is now the Australian Academic Research Network (AARNet) which was linked to the first “cluster” of computer systems at the Australian National University. Having experienced the provision of support for the most secure computing environments in Australia, Mark utilises that experience to support business clients in their use of the public cloud and the most secure private cloud services. One of Mark’s most enduring challenges is staying connected. To meet this challenge Mark has developed processes and equipment for delivering affordable, effective, and reliable connectivity anywhere in Australia and New Zealand, even on the move. He has tested this by driving through many remote regional locations and being able to make and receive standard Mobile Phone call and “browse the internet” at reasonable speed, without the needs to rely upon cumbersome and expensive satellite devices. Although technology has changed significantly in the many years Mark has been providing IT support for business clients, one thing has not changed and that is the need to provide quality services within mutually agreed timeframes. The foundation of quality service is communication, which allows us to develop a relationship that builds trust, through an understanding of our mutually agreed goals.

My Interests	I love getting outdoors, and in the water, which is why we live on the Sunshine Coast, as we have access to rainforests and beaches. I get out on my mountain bike as often as I can and love bushwalking and golf, but preferably not at the same time, searching for lost golf balls.
