| Personal Bio/ Summary | Following a long and distinguished career in both the Fortune 500 world and in private business, Bowdie moved into the coaching/consulting world. Life in the Corporate World After years in roles of progressive responsibility with the Fortune 500 Bowdie decided to focus his energies and passion on helping small and medium size businesses be the best they can be. Bowdie brings with him a background in sales, sales management (including 14 Presidents Clubs), general management, channel management, HR, marketing, and leadership. Most of these capabilities were developed at both the front line and senior executive levels giving Bowdie a unique and balanced view of how organizations function. His broadest experience is in sales and marketing where he has benchmark skills in sales planning, sales training, compensation design, territory and coverage design, reward and recognition, sales process, sales training, and motivation. He has personally trained and managed over 500 salespeople and regularly speaks on both topics. Life as an entrepreneur Bowdie has been a partner and active participant in businesses within the transportation, oil & gas, consulting/coaching, event planning, venture capital, kitchen products, and custom furniture industries. Most of this time has been spent in general management and advisory roles. To address a potential “blind spot” in his background Bowdie recently completed his Certification in Digital Marketing from Mount Royal University. After Work Bowdie’s work in the community includes board work with the Calgary Round Up Band, First Night Calgary, Fairview Band Foundation, The 3rd Academy, the Peter Lougheed Hospital Development Council, and Autism Calgary. He has also served as the IT Sub-Committee Co-Chair for fundraising with United Way. Bowdie has lived in Calgary for over 3 decades. Bowdie is married with four children. An avid fitness “nut” and a competitive ball player Bowdie is currently completing his certification as a Personal Fitness Trainer. He also enjoys his cars and building fine furniture. |

| Who I'm looking to connect with - my ideal referral partner | My ideal referral partner is someone who deals with or knows of small and medium sized businesses that want to grow but are stuck. We view business coaching engagements as projects, not necessarily long term engagements. Define the barriers to growth and work with the business owners/leaders to overcome them. Once this is done we often part ways (checking in regularly) to confirm all is still going as expected and re-engage if/when new challenges present themselves. We also need strong partners that we can refer our clients to. We aren’t bookkeepers, accountants, digital marketers. We aren’t recruiters, HR specialists, or fractional sales people. All of these things and more we need solid/like minded partners to refer to. |
